Deano Passariello’s Onboard
By Bandit Staff • Feb 9th, 2010 • Category: BANDIT HEADLINESIn what can only be described as a major move the New York Bandit hire Deano Passariello’s to come onboard and fill the role of passing coordinator and Asst. Offensive Coordinator. The New York Bandits have one of the strongest passing attacks in the area and with the addition of Coach Passariello it can only get better. Stay tuned for more developments but please enjoy a brief Bio on Coach Passariello.
Coach Deano Passariello is now in his 4th decade of active involvement in organized football. Known to many as “Father Time”, Coach Deano is a lifelong student of football who specializes at the quarterback position. He brings to the New York Bandits a wealth of acquired football knowledge and experience and a unique 3-headed perspective of the game having served as a player, a coach and official.
As a successful former quarterback, Coach Deano was instrumental in winning team championships as well as earning all county and multiple all-star awards as a quarterback over his years as a player from the Pop Warner to the semipro football level. The New York Times reviewed Coach Deano as a “standout quarterback” in an article about semipro football in 2000.
Most recently Coach Deano, as Offensive Coordinator for an established semipro team, is fresh off of completing the task of installing the tools and discipline required to return that teams offense back to its previous level of success and perennial playoff appearances. Under his tenure, that program saw its offensive production almost triple at its height and win its first playoff games in team history in consecutive seasons. As an independent quarterbacks coach over the years, he has also successfully worked with high school programs in Westchester County to train and develop their players at that position. Many players having received all-county honors and that have had successful college careers for D-3 to D-1 Bowl Division teams. His dynamic approach toward quarterback development has also allowed him to work with players that have gone on to reach virtually all professional levels of football including the AFL (original Arena Football League), NFL Europe, The CFL and the NFL.
Coach Deano has attended several coaching and instructional football clinics in order to remain on the cutting edge of achieving dynamic football play and performance from the quarterback position. He also participates in teaching the quarterback position at football clinics for HS and youth programs and incorporates his officiating perspective into his presentations. Coach Deano is the author of a book on quarterbacking due to be available this year.

FELLAS I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND CAMP ON SATURDAY. IF I DO MAKE IT I WILL BE LATE. I HAVE TO ATTEND A VALENTINE DANCE WITH MMY SON..
Hello Men, Women and Children of the NEW YORK BANDITS Organization,
“Thank you” for the warm welcome you have given to me either in person, at the meeting, on my facebook page and or by email and phone call too.
I want you all to know that I am very proud to become a member of the New York Bandits “family”. I have developed a great deal of respect and admiration for you as players and for the Bandits organization as a whole over my years as both a quarterback and recently as the OC for the Westchester Steelers. This includes all staff members, fans and the entire behind the scenes supporters and sponsors of the program and its players; especially their loving and devoted family members and friends. No program becomes so accomplished without such a complete “FAMILY” approach and participation.
I want you all to know what you may expect from me. My total commitment, and my only “individual” goal as our Asst Offensive Coordinator and Passing Coordinator, is to use my skills and coaching knowledge to find ways to help make each player a better football player tomorrow than you are today. Regardless of what you are currently bringing to the field, I will constantly work to find a way to challenge you and make you a better player by any means necessary. It does not matter to me what side of the ball you play on either, we are one team and I will find a way to make you better. I will make you better directly, if you are on offense by challenging you to step your game up daily and become a part of the single best offensive unit in all of semipro football. We will need to be just that too, because we will have the honor of taking on the QUIET STORM every day in practice. We better be ready to “bring it” every day or we will be embarrassed by them, every day. I will make you better indirectly, if you are on defense by forcing you to constantly work to keep pace with an ever improving offense. We will become the very best offensive unit that you will EVER go against in your semipro football career and you will have the privilege of facing us at every practice. “To be the best you must defeat the best” and my goal is to make sure our players are “the best.” I want to get us to a place where every opponent we face on game day will be a lesser opponent than our “brothers in blue” that we battle with in practice. By accomplishing that, I will set a direct course to reach my only “overall” coaching goal which is for the New York Bandits to earn more championships which is why we play this game that we love – period.
I look forward to becoming a valuable member of the BLUE NATION and honoring the very simple but very real truth that underlies everything BANDITS… “Hard Work Pays!”
My contact information will be made available to all players in the very near future. I willingly make myself available to you all and I welcome any questions, comments and ideas that anyone may have for me.
Sincerely,
Coach Deano
