TIME FOR THE BIG GUYS TO GET SOME SHINE

Its tough being one of the big guys when its comes to the media. A sport dominated by size yet all the little guys get the credit and all the interviews. Well today that changes and its time for the Big Guys to get their due. Football is a brutal sport and it all begins upfront with the Offensive line lets take a snapshot of the group and what the Bandits will be running out for 2010.

BLOCKAFELLA PRODUCTIONS

The BLOCKAFEELA name commands respect throughout the Adult-Amateur world. The name identifies a brotherhood of offensive lineman that have all lined up with a few missions in mind, protect our QB’s and get our RB’s into the endzone.

David Diaz #53: One of the longest tenured Bandits Dave has moved around on the offensive line for years until he locked himself in right over the football as the CT of the New York Bandit Offense. His commitment to the team is only second to his passion for the road cooler and Coronas luckily for the Boy in Blue the cooler does have wheels. Look for Dave right in the middle of things here in 2010.

Claudio Aquino #54: There are only so many times you can say the same thing about Claudio, he plays like he is a 7’6″ giant in a sub compact sports car body. He is more than most can handle, he plays 1 second beyond the whistle, tells you he beat you and right when you almost had enough tells you he beat you again. Another 4X Bandit Champion #54 is the type of player that will piss you off with his comments but makes you work harder as deep in your heart you know he was right.

Charles Sanders #64: Family is about keeping the house the same when people can’t make it home and in regards to #64 when he gets back to full strength the Bandits gain another horse and the rest of the world gets kicked in the butt by two more feet.

John Gonzalez #69: John isn’t new to the family but a new full time member of BLOCKAFELLA. Its takes a strong player to move from one team to another it takes an even stronger player to move from one role to another but John is a tremendous young talent that will develop into a Bandit Fixture for years to come.

Justin Torres #70: Baby “RHINO” is what most call him lets take a look at the definition, (massive powerful herbivorous odd-toed ungulate of southeast Asia and Africa having very thick skin and one or two horns on the snout). That about sums it up for the new RT of the New York Bandits. Justin is a hard working warrior that will make the Oline better for years to come.

James Gray #71: Another rock in the family James has been all over the Offensive and Defensive line. If we can figure out a way to put a chess burger on a linebacker or a fish sandwich on a QB James would be an unstoppable force driven by blue pride and food.

Louis Diaz #74: Pepe is Pepe. All long time Bandit but overall great guy.

Shane Jacobs #75: This rookie’s name is Shrek his profession is not walking around with donkeys though but kicking people right in the back parts when they are across the ball. He has an infectious smile for a big guy, feels like he has been here for years but its only been a few months.

Edwin Lozada #77: How can a man be so nice off the field and such a monster on the field. The founder of all things blue that bear the name BLOCKAFELLA wears #77. The Left side of the OLine has become a safe haven for QB’s and a HOV lane for Bandit RB’s over all his years of service. He works like a RB in practice and plays like a Caterpillar Earth Mover in games. Looking for #77 find the D lineman getting off his back then look for another complaining about his speed and after that follow the trail of smoke into the endzone and there you will kind Ed.

As this is a snapshot of the 2010 Season you can’t talk about BLOCKAFELLA without mentioning Jose Taveras #50, Steven DeJesus #55, Sheron James #79 as they surely aren’t the only BLOCKAFELLA members that are not on roster in 2010, they are surely the ones that every team that plays the Bandits are happy not to see.
